Principal Software Automation/Test Engineer (Prisma Access)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States of America. Hybrid office-based role with regular office attendance expected, generally three to four days per week.

Salary: $156,400–$253,000 per year, with potential bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Validate core networking and security features for SD-WAN and Prisma Access across the end-to-end product lifecycle.
• Test enterprise networking functionality, including routing, VPN, multicast, IPv6, DNS, NAT, and DHCP.
• Build and maintain complex networking testbeds and simulate large enterprise networks.
• Develop improvements to QA processes and automation using Python and REST APIs.
• Work with software engineering, quality assurance, DevOps, and technical support teams.
• Investigate and troubleshoot customer issues and product performance problems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience and a BS/MS degree or equivalent military experience.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP protocols, including ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, and IPSec VPNs.
• Experience testing BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and other enterprise routing protocols.
• Experience with control-plane and data-plane architecture, Linux testing on x86 platforms, and networking product performance characterization.
• Experience with Python and REST APIs, plus familiarity with VMware ESXi, QEMU/KVM, or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
