Data Engineer (AI)

Location: In-office at Greifswalder Strasse 212 in Berlin, Germany. Existing right to work in Germany is required; visa sponsorship is not currently available.

Salary: €90,000–€140,000 gross per year, depending on level and scope. Equity included.

What you will do

• Define and model trustworthy company metrics, including their calculations, limitations, and ownership.
• Build product-usage models for activation, adoption, retention, feature usage, and customer health.
• Own production ingestion pipelines, warehouse models, data quality checks, deployment workflows, monitoring, and recovery procedures.
• Partner with Product Engineers to evaluate product changes, investigate user behavior, and improve product instrumentation.
• Support Account Management, Revenue, Finance, and leadership with dependable reporting and reusable data models.
• Establish standards for data modeling, quality, observability, documentation, and collaboration across Product Development.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production data pipelines and analytical models.
• Ability to work across infrastructure, SQL modeling, exploratory analysis, and product or business definitions.
• Comfort with dbt, analytical databases, deployment systems, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong approach to investigating unexpected numbers and understanding the underlying product and technical behavior.
• Ability to turn ambiguous questions into clear definitions, dependable models, and actionable explanations.
• Existing right to work in Germany is required.
