Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Residency Program (Pediatric Mental Health)

Location: Woodbury, New Jersey; hybrid work with in-person clinic work up to 2 days per week as needed. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, with 12 of 40 weekly hours during after-school hours after 4:00 PM ET or on weekends.

Salary: $100,000–$112,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
• Create personalized treatment plans, including medication management and other appropriate treatments.
• Collaborate with psychotherapists and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals on integrated patient care.
• Provide education and consultation to patients and their families.
• Manage diagnostic testing, including digital and laboratory results, and maintain thorough HIPAA-compliant records.
• Participate in weekly clinical meetings and routine residency supervision and progress reviews.

Requirements

• National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program, such as a PMHNP or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Graduated within approximately the last 12 months or have less than one year of PMHNP work experience.
• Active PMHNP license and DEA registration in New Jersey, or a confirmed path to obtain them before the residency begins.
• Strong communication skills, openness to feedback, and ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Successful completion requires a 12-month residency followed by a two-year commitment to Blackbird Clinical Services.
