Lead Software Engineer (Healthcare Pharmacy)

Location: Remote Texas, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define technical direction, engineering standards, and scalable solution approaches for enterprise pharmacy applications and platforms.
• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of complex application enhancements and integrations.
• Oversee production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, service restoration, and operational readiness.
• Improve application availability, performance, resiliency, monitoring, alerting, observability, and capacity planning with Operations and SRE teams.
• Coordinate technical reviews, release governance, dependencies, delivery risks, and priorities across Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Operations, and Vendor teams.
• Drive automation, CI/CD, technical debt remediation, disaster recovery testing, and continuous engineering improvement while mentoring engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience in complex enterprise technology environments, including 3+ years of technical leadership.
• Strong expertise in application development, system integration, enterprise architecture, software engineering practices, APIs, messaging platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading large-scale enterprise projects and supporting mission-critical, high-volume transaction processing systems.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, release management, performance tuning, and fault-tolerant design.
• Ability to collaborate across business, engineering, architecture, security, infrastructure, operations, and vendor organizations while making independent technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of healthcare, pharmacy operations, or regulated industries.
• Master’s degree.
