Technology Trainer (Food Technology)

Location: Bakersfield, California, USA; work at industrial customer sites, food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outdoor environments; approximately 40% national and international travel.

Salary: $87,110–$108,897 USD annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs and course content for external customers and internal teams.
• Create and update technical documentation, training materials, and structured learning content for onboarding, system upgrades, and product adoption.
• Assess customer training needs, identify skill gaps, and recommend targeted learning solutions.
• Partner with Field Service, Technical Support, and Service Leadership teams to implement structured training initiatives.
• Support customers during technology implementation and contribute to knowledge base articles, webinars, and online courses.
• Promote a safety-first culture while building strong customer relationships and delivering training to a high standard.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronics, sustainable manufacturing, or industrial engineering is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical service or a comparable technical environment.
• Experience delivering technical or operational training, including virtual or remote formats.
• Ability to interpret and clearly explain technical concepts, procedures, and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, customer-focused training approach, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally, work at industrial customer sites, and operate in food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outdoor environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
