Professional Learning Specialist (Education Technology)

Location: Based in North Alabama; candidates must currently reside in North Alabama or be willing to relocate to the area. The role is remote in Alabama but includes up to 80% travel across North Alabama and the state, including onsite school support, overnight stays, and travel by car, plane, or public transportation.

Salary: $60,750–$99,750 per year

What you will do

• Deliver targeted professional development to teachers, coaches, and district and school leaders.
• Provide tailored classroom coaching, lesson-planning support, pacing guidance, and implementation support.
• Help districts select, adopt, and implement Ready and i-Ready diagnostic and instruction programs.
• Analyze assessment and implementation data with educators and leaders to improve instruction.
• Develop and revise annual professional development plans and schedules with district and site leaders.
• Manage projects, communicate with stakeholders, attend relevant conferences, and support district-wide implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, or providing professional development.
• Teaching or coaching background in Mathematics or ELA, preferably for grades K–8.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, with comfort applying data alongside teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Ability to manage, monitor, evaluate, and maintain the integrity of program implementations.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80% within the designated territory and to company meetings.

Nice to have

• Strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics or ELA, grades K–8, or comparable state standards.
