Test Automation Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and build scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and microservice testing.
• Write production-quality automated tests using Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, and Pact.
• Build CI/CD test pipelines and implement contract, performance, security, and regression testing.
• Lead risk-based, exploratory, and shift-left testing strategies while collaborating with developers, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Investigate production incidents, improve test coverage and reliability, and reduce time-to-feedback.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, contribute to reusable testing tools, and maintain documentation, traceability, and reporting dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience as an SDET or in test-focused software engineering roles.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation, REST and/or gRPC API automation, SQL, and database validation.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, microservices, distributed systems, modern web architectures, and Agile/Scrum practices.
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
• Performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust.
• Exposure to OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Snyk, chaos engineering, or resilience testing.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
