TL;DR
Strategic Sourcing Analyst III (Automotive/Procurement): Developing commodity strategies and strategic sourcing initiatives for collision components, with an accent on supplier evaluation, cost structures, contract negotiation, and cross-functional alignment. Focus on managing part lifecycles through remanufacturing opportunities, building supplier programs, and solving complex sourcing and supply-chain problems.

Location: Portland, OR, United States. Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in-office and 1 day remote. Applicants may work in or relocate to Portland; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $95,000–$121,000 USD per year, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

  • Manage strategic procurement for the Collision Components commodity set within the Aftermarket and Specialty Vehicles Purchasing team.
  • Develop and document commodity strategies using market conditions, industry trends, supplier capabilities, processes, and cost drivers.
  • Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, production pricing, and long-term supplier programs.
  • Coordinate part lifecycles, including remanufacturing opportunities, and support supplier rationalization.
  • Prepare reporting and presentations, present to senior leadership, and mentor other buyers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply and logistics, finance, economics, engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline with 5–7 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in commodity management, procurement, contracting, materials management, logistics, manufacturing, quality, or account management.
  • Experience evaluating and selecting suppliers, analyzing cost structures, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, planning, project leadership, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and fluent written and verbal English.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States, and the position is not open to visa sponsorship or existing visa holders.
