Sr Strategic Sourcing Manager, Indirect (MedTech)

Location: On-site in Irvine, California, United States; travel up to 20–25% for supplier site visits and regional facility audits.

Annual salary: $120,000–$160,000, plus a target bonus of 10% of annual base salary.

What you will do

• Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend across global sites.
• Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP sourcing activities, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Drive a unified supplier negotiation approach to maximize commercial leverage and standardize contract terms.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to transactional buyers managing indirect spend.
• Analyze spend to consolidate suppliers, harmonize contracts, standardize procurement protocols, and deliver sustainable cost efficiencies.
• Implement risk management frameworks covering supplier dependencies, geopolitical stability, and financial viability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience in a highly regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
• Experience driving procurement transformation and delivering verified synergy savings across indirect spend.
• Strong ability to influence and manage executive-level relationships.
• Ability to work on-site in Irvine and travel up to 20–25% for supplier and facility visits.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Coupa or an equivalent procure-to-pay platform.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced analytical skills with Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
