TL;DR
Sr. Staff Medical Science Liaison in Genetic Disease Testing and Reproductive Health, US (Genomics): Building evidence-based scientific engagement and medical affairs support for genomic technologies, genetic disease testing, and reproductive health with an accent on KOL relationships, scientific education, and emerging clinical evidence. Focus on translating research insights into medical strategy, supporting investigator-sponsored and clinical studies, and ensuring compliant communication across IVD and RUO products.

Location: US - Remote; must be willing to travel 50% of the time.

Base salary: $155,600–$233,400 per year, plus eligible variable cash programs and equity.

What you will do

  • Serve as a field-based scientific resource and non-promotional exchange partner for KOLs, healthcare professionals, laboratory personnel, researchers, and academic institutions.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in genomics, molecular diagnostics, genetic disease, reproductive health, and emerging clinical evidence.
  • Build scientific relationships, gather external insights, and communicate findings to inform Medical Affairs strategy and research priorities.
  • Deliver objective scientific education and respond to unsolicited requests for information about hirify.global technologies and products.
  • Support congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, investigator-sponsored research, collaborative research, and clinical or research studies.
  • Partner with Research & Development, Product Management, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, and Commercial teams when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree required, such as an MS, certified genetic counselor qualification, or PhD, in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • At least 5 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry experience, plus at least 3 years of MSL experience or equivalent in genomics.
  • Strong understanding of genomics, personalized medicine, in vitro diagnostics, clinical laboratory workflows, and genetics; a research and publication record is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret scientific data, assess implications for clinical practice and research, and communicate with broad audiences.
  • Thorough understanding of FDA, CLIA, HIPAA, medical device regulations, industry guidance, and ethical standards.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time.

Nice to have

  • Clinical laboratory experience.
  • More than 5 years of MSL experience or equivalent in genomics.
  • Experience working with compliance, legal, product management, commercial, and other medical device functions.
