Electrical Integration Engineering Intern

Location: Onsite at the headquarters in Torrance, California, United States

Base pay: $40 per hour

Arc is electrifying the marine industry by developing electric powertrains, software, and vessel designs for consumer, commercial, and defense applications.

What you will do

• Support the design and implementation of electrically integrated systems, including wire harnesses, power distribution modules, and high-voltage energy storage systems.
• Build prototypes for vehicle tests, standalone tests, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering, other engineering teams, and interns to develop and improve solutions.
• Maintain the electrical research and development space for efficient operations.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and basic vehicle wiring principles through coursework or project experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and adapt quickly.
• Physical ability to work in a production environment, including extended periods of sitting or standing.
• Availability for the summer internship from June 14 through August 20, 2027, onsite in Torrance, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-performance electric vehicles, solar cars, Formula SAE, or similar projects.
• Knowledge of high-voltage systems and high-voltage battery pack design.
• Familiarity with CAN communication, advanced control systems, or MATLAB Simulink.
• Interest in boating and clean energy.
