Engineering Intern (Power Systems)

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States. Onsite work supporting teams from the Pullman location, with some field activities involving automation and protection systems.

Pay: $24.25–$33.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support customer-facing teams with the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and protection systems.
• Apply fundamental power-system concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Complete assigned engineering work within the agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Work under immediate supervision while following established procedures and manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with engineering and customer-support teams and take on additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Current student pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Self-motivated, willing to learn, and able to assume new responsibilities.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results required.

Nice to have

• Coursework in electric power, power-system protection, symmetrical components, programming, or control systems.
