Founding Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote. Workspaces are available in Vilnius, Klaipėda, and Riga; the Vilnius office follows a 4-days-onsite, 1-day-remote hybrid model, while arrangements outside Vilnius depend on the position.

Salary: €4,000–€6,500 gross per month, plus early-stage equity.

hirify.global is a fast-scaling travel startup building Marlow AI, an AI-assisted trip-planning and booking experience connecting travelers with human advisors.

What you will do

• Own product features end to end, from database schema and server functions through UI/UX, event tracking, and production release.
• Build traveler-facing trip-planning flows and advisor-facing handoff and booking experiences.
• Design and evolve Supabase/Postgres schemas, RLS policies, and GRANTs for production traffic.
• Integrate and maintain flight, hotel, payment, subscription, and lead-generation APIs, including authentication, webhooks, and signature verification.
• Build LLM-powered tooling with tool-calling, streaming, and prompt iteration across OpenAI, Anthropic, and OpenRouter.
• Deploy on Cloudflare's edge runtime, instrument product events, write valuable tests, and help shape technical direction.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience shipping production web applications, including experience as an early hire at a seed, Series A, or Series B startup.
• Ability to independently own a feature from database migration to UI/UX and production delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Supabase, Postgres RLS, or pgvector, with a strong understanding of RLS and GRANTs.
• Strong TypeScript experience and hands-on experience with a meta-framework such as Next.js, Remix, TanStack Start, or SvelteKit.
• Experience integrating at least 10 third-party APIs, including authentication, webhooks, and signature verification.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with founders and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• LLM tool-calling, function-calling, streaming, or prompt-versioning experience.
• Experience with edge or Workers runtimes.
• Advanced SQL using window functions, CTEs, and triggers.
• Exposure to supervised fine-tuning for AI.
