TL;DR
Early Careers New Grad - Actuarial Analyst (Health Insurance): Building, maintaining, and analyzing basic actuarial models, studies, and systems for pricing, underwriting, reserving, forecasting, and related functions with an accent on health insurance analysis, statistical modeling, and actuarial exam development. Focus on interpreting model results, supporting actuarial systems, and developing technical, presentation, and business skills through the new graduate program.

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid, with a minimum of three office days per week for flex employees

Base pay: $57,500–$103,800 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

  • Participate in implementing and maintaining actuarial models, studies, and systems.
  • Support pricing, underwriting, statistical analysis, reserving, forecasting, and related actuarial functions.
  • Run, build, and analyze results from basic actuarial models.
  • Prepare documentation, presentations, and training materials while developing communication skills.
  • Participate in the Actuarial Student Program and the six-month Enterprise New Grad Program.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Completion of one ASA exam equivalent under the Society of Actuaries Education and Examination System.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Nice to have

  • Actuarial internship or experience in health insurance or a related field.
  • Experience with Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming tools.
