Quality Control Inspector (Manufacturing)

Location: Dallas, Texas, USA; onsite production facility. Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.

What you will do

• Perform visual inspections and specified tests of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished low-voltage switchgear products.
• Inspect mechanical and wiring work, including welding-related quality requirements, against drawings and specifications.
• Verify and document item condition and counts during unloading, and report discrepancies.
• Identify material and manufacturing faults and communicate recommendations and remedies to supervisors.
• Complete inspection reports, logs, checklists, corrective action requests, and quality records.
• Maintain inspection and measurement equipment and report repair needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, particularly welding.
• Thorough understanding of welding processes and the products or processes being inspected.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks; able to perform physical production-floor inspections and lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds.
