Quality Inspector

Location: Youngstown, Ohio, United States; on-site. Full-time schedule, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Perform mechanical and visual inspections of inbound and outbound materials for condition, dimensions, supplier documentation, and drawing characteristics.
• Document, tag, control, and segregate products according to established procedures.
• Coordinate contract submittals, product acceptance, supplier quality documentation, and customer requirements.
• Prepare discrepancy reports and hold notices, and coordinate corrective actions with customers and suppliers.
• Maintain training records and equipment calibration.
• Support internal and external organization, standardization, and ISO audits.

Requirements

• On-site availability in Youngstown, Ohio, United States.
• At least 2 years of experience in an industrial, distribution, or equivalent environment.
• Previous inspection or quality control experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Quality certification and knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, process control tools, and manufacturing process evaluation.
• Working knowledge of UL, CE, CSA, IEC, ASTM, ANSI, and other relevant regulatory codes.

Nice to have

• ISO quality systems experience.
• Statistics training and experience.
• Associate’s degree or trade school education in quality, material composition, non-destructive testing, or an equivalent program.
