Supervisor, Facilities

Location: Delano, California, USA; on-site facility, warehouse, industrial, dock, rooftop, and outdoor work

Salary: USD 90,000–95,000 per year, with a possible discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead, coach, schedule, and evaluate building maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial, dock equipment, and roll-up door teams.
• Plan work, assign labor and resources, review work orders, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Oversee repairs and upkeep for buildings, warehouses, grounds, utilities, lighting, plumbing, dock levelers, vehicle restraints, dock seals, and roll-up doors.
• Conduct inspections, identify hazards, initiate corrective action, and ensure compliance with OSHA, fire, building, environmental, permit, and company requirements.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, job scopes, site access, work quality, documentation, and completed-service verification.
• Monitor labor, overtime, materials, service costs, budgets, inventories, recurring failures, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical training in facilities, industrial maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of facility, industrial, or commercial maintenance experience, including one year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lead multiple work groups, set priorities, coach employees, resolve problems, and communicate with employees, managers, vendors, and contractors.
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, work-order systems, basic budgeting, vendor coordination, and safe-work practices; ability to read manuals, drawings, inspection reports, and procedures.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, use personal protective equipment, access facility and equipment areas, and work in varied industrial and outdoor conditions.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or technical training in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• Safety, equipment, trade, or facilities-management certifications.
• Experience with custodial and groundskeeping services, dock equipment, roll-up doors, Microsoft Office, and computerized maintenance management systems.
