Facility Manager (Warehouse Operations)

Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Clifton, New Jersey, United States

Base salary: $97,000–$114,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage safety, compliance, fire and life-safety systems, SDS documentation, HazMat response, and safe work practices across two sites.
• Build preventive maintenance and life-cycle programs for HVAC, facility systems, racking, compactors, and other warehouse infrastructure.
• Own powered industrial truck safety checks, maintenance, operator training, and certification.
• Co-manage ammonia freezer and glycol cooler systems with the Chief Refrigeration Engineer, including compliance, scheduling, budgets, and vendors.
• Lead security and facility teams, train warehouse employees on SOPs and emergency procedures, and coordinate emergency response.
• Manage service contracts, vendors, budgets, maintenance costs, and cost-reduction initiatives across both sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering, project management, business management, construction management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management, including leadership of security and facility or maintenance teams.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety, HazMat protocols, environmental compliance, OSHA PSM, and EPA RMP for ammonia facilities.
• Experience managing PIT programs, facility services, budgets, contracts, vendors, and multiple sites.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, organization, reporting, communication, and technical collaboration skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in cold or freezer environments, and respond to emergencies 24/7 when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration or glycol cooler systems.
• HazMat Responder, OSHA, Food Safety, Six Sigma Green Belt, or project management certification.
