Program Manager I (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required. U.S. citizenship and a current/active Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Lead program integration and execution across multiple complex aerospace and defense projects.
• Manage customer relationships, cost, schedule, technical planning, financial performance, and program risks.
• Oversee high-risk programs with budgets of $20 million or greater and supervise program and project staff.
• Lead proposal, capture, pricing, contract negotiation, and business development activities.
• Coordinate internal and external teams delivering JADC2, ISR, aviation, and other mission-critical capabilities.
• Maintain Earned Value Management baselines, performance metrics, program plans, and engineering change activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management, management, engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• At least 6 years of progressive project or program management experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• At least 1 year of experience leading cross-functional teams of 3 or more members.
• Experience with proposals and requests for proposals or quotes, contract negotiations, multiple projects, customer focal-point responsibilities, and financial management.
• Strong program integration, stakeholder management, resource planning, risk management, communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
• Current/active Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or an advanced degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, PMBOK, CMMI, agile or spiral development, and Earned Value Management.
• Experience with program management tools, data architectures, ISO 9001 processes, and corporate process improvement.
