Sr. Manager, Engineering

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; standard office working environment.

Salary: $135,000–$234,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead a software development organization comprising multiple engineering teams.
• Translate business and organizational strategies into technical roadmaps aligned across systems and teams.
• Partner with Product, Product Design, and Delivery to define opportunities, risks, priorities, scope, and project plans.
• Guide architecture, API, messaging, interface, documentation, and third-party integration work.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers while fostering collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
• Measure engineering performance, prioritize improvements, and support successful delivery of technical projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience and 3+ years managing or leading engineering teams.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Deep knowledge of software engineering principles, system design, data structures, algorithms, and scalable distributed systems.
• Strong technical skills in one or more of JavaScript development, database technologies such as MSSQL, Postgres, or DynamoDB, AWS serverless, CI/CD, and Salesforce.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, decision-making, and consensus-building skills.
