Senior Software Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with office attendance required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to Denver.

Base salary: $175,000–$195,000 annually, plus variable compensation and equity.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional engineering squads building products, features, and foundational platform services.
• Partner with Product Management to prioritize work, plan milestones, and define technical rollout plans.
• Build technical roadmaps with the Director and ensure squads have the people and capabilities needed for success.
• Coach and mentor engineers while fostering a positive, accountable engineering culture.
• Maintain technical depth across multiple languages and frameworks and support engineering-driven product management.
• Guide responsible use of AI tools, improve AI-aware delivery metrics, and ensure AI-generated code meets standards for quality, testing, and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams and complex technical initiatives.
• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience building foundational platform services and leading multiple teams within one functional domain.
• Experience coaching engineers on the responsible adoption of AI tools and evaluating their role in technical solutions.
• Experience with agile software development, multiple languages and frameworks, varied technical skill sets, and effective written and verbal communication.
