NPI Mechanical Design Engineer (Gas Turbine)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite five days a week

Salary: $112,704–$169,056 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop package systems for industrial gas turbine products.
• Create and maintain detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of material.
• Support new product introduction from concept through prototyping, testing, validation, and production.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of gas turbine packages.
• Identify design improvements and cost reductions that improve performance, reliability, and serviceability.
• Prepare engineering specifications, drawings, test reports, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Mid-level experience in mechanical design, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, such as Creo.
• Proficiency in finite element analysis; ANSYS is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and technical decision-making skills.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.
