Salary: $34.95–$46.85 per hour, with starting pay of $34.95 per hour adjustable based on experience.

What you will do

• Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, numerical-control machines, machining centers, mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Operate a Nomura HBA-135P-R5 CNC machine with five-axis capability.
• Read blueprints and technical documentation to determine dimensions, tolerances, machining sequences, and setup requirements.
• Retrieve, input, edit, and write CNC programs using G and M code; set machine speeds, feeds, coolant flow, cutting depth, and angles.
• Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot malfunctions and alignment issues, replace tooling, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Verify finished parts and assemblies for dimensions, alignment, accuracy, and quality compliance; collaborate with engineering, production, and programming teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with five-axis machines and Nomura machines and controls.
• Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Okuma OSP.
• Journeyman Machinist, Millwright, Provincial Trade Certification, or Red Seal certification.
• Fluent English, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to follow detailed instructions, complete work-related documentation, resolve basic problems, and follow safety and security procedures.
