What you will do

• Calibrate and operate multiparameter flow cytometers, including cell sorters, as well as microscopes and related imaging platforms.
• Operate analytical flow cytometry analyzers and sorters, troubleshoot instrument issues, and oversee field-engineer remediation when needed.
• Design high-complexity fluorophore panels for legacy and full-spectrum flow cytometers while maximizing signal and minimizing fluorescence spillover.
• Train and guide facility users and take accountability for prioritized projects.
• Work in a Biosafety Level 2+ laboratory, maintain laboratory safety, and complete risk assessments for new activities.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD, preferably with cytometry experience; or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of cytometry experience; or a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of cytometry experience.
• Education in life sciences.
• Experience with good documentation practices and scientific conduct under standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with data scientists and use emerging AI/ML analytical platforms.
• Working knowledge of integrating flow and imaging cytometry with adjacent single-cell technologies such as RNA sequencing and CRISPR screens.
