Annual base salary: $128,000–$140,000, depending on experience

hirify.global is a clinical-stage drug discovery company developing small-molecule correctors for protein misfolding diseases through its Navigator platform, combining synthetic biology, generative chemistry, and AI/ML.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and validate cell-based assays for Fabry disease and other lysosomal storage disorder programs.
• Engineer mammalian reporter, knock-in, knock-out, and variant-library cell models using cloning and genome engineering.
• Measure corrector responses across disease-associated variants using arrayed and pooled screening, deep mutational scanning, and NGS readouts.
• Transition assays into high-throughput production and create clear, reproducible SOPs for chemistry and machine learning teams.
• Analyze, quality-control, and interpret data using Python, R, and AI tools.
• Prepare study reports and documentation supporting regulatory submissions, including IND-enabling packages.

Requirements

• PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, chemical biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, genetics, or a related field with 0–2 years of postdoctoral or industry experience; alternatively, an MS with 6+ years or BS/BA with 8+ years of industry experience.
• Strong experience designing mechanistic assays that answer clear biological questions.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology, cloning, mammalian cell culture, and cell engineering such as lentiviral delivery, CRISPR editing, or stable cell-line generation.
• Experience with flow cytometry, imaging, plate-reader assays, or NGS-based readouts, as well as high-throughput or pooled screening.
• Comfort analyzing data in Python or R and using AI tools for data analysis, workflow generation, and knowledge work.
• Careful documentation practices suitable for data supporting regulatory filings and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquid-handling automation.
• Knowledge of protein folding and trafficking, lysosomal biology, or Fabry disease.
• A paper, preprint, or software repository demonstrating relevant work.
