Vendor Governance & Controls Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Arlington, VA; remote candidates may be considered only if residing in a state where hirify.global or one of its subsidiaries has an established physical presence. Travel of up to 10% is required for vendor onsite assessments.

Base salary: $89,700–$143,900 annually, plus eligibility for up to 10% annual incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Coach Vendor Relationship Managers through RFP evaluation frameworks, scoring methodologies, and documentation standards.
• Design and facilitate vendor lifecycle training for VRMs, business unit leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive timely vendor scorecard completion, performance review cadences, accountability actions, and escalation of non-compliance.
• Partner with VRMs during vendor onsite assessments to evaluate performance, operational readiness, and contractual adherence.
• Lead performance improvement plans, contract adherence monitoring, escalation management, and vendor accountability initiatives.
• Produce governance reporting and trend analysis while collaborating with Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and Risk partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in vendor management, business controls, or third-party governance within financial services.
• Experience in controls, compliance, or governance-focused work, including holding business stakeholders accountable to standards, scorecards, or performance frameworks.
• Experience facilitating training, workshops, or enablement programs for business audiences.
• Understanding of vendor management lifecycle concepts and financial services guidance from the OCC, FFIEC, and CFPB.
• Strong influencing, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with willingness to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, or Risk Management.
• Vendor governance certifications such as CTPS, CRVPM, or comparable credentials.
• Experience with Zip, ProcessUnity, Archer, Six Sigma, Lean, Prosci, or corporate training curricula.
• Background in business controls, internal audit, or compliance advisory within financial services.
