Project Manager, SMA Program Management (Financial Services)

Location: San Diego, CA, USA

Salary: $112,000–$128,000 per year base salary, plus a discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Own project intake, prioritization, and tracking across multiple initiatives using Jira.
• Lead daily standups and coordinate activities to keep deliverables, timelines, and follow-up on track.
• Drive accountability across Business Analysts, technology teams, and business stakeholders.
• Guide Business Analysts in taking ownership of applications, processes, and technology relationships.
• Develop project plans, status reports, PMO processes, workflow documentation, process maps, and operational procedures.
• Improve team governance, delivery practices, and cross-functional communication around priorities, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 5–6 years of experience in project management, program management, business analysis, or a related field.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, Copilot, and Lucidchart.
• Experience coordinating Agile/Scrum teams, including daily standups and backlog management.
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Scrum Master, Agile, or project management certification.
• Experience supporting business applications and technology-enabled business processes.
• Strong process-mapping and workflow-documentation experience.
