Senior Project Manager

Location: Remote, with a primary focus on candidates working within Central or Eastern time zones. Occasional travel of approximately 15% to client locations, primarily in the U.S. Midwest and East Coast, is required.

Salary: $117,000–$158,000 base pay annually, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead complex projects and portfolios with multiple workstreams, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and interdependencies.
• Own budget-to-actual performance, forecasting, reconciliation, burn analysis, estimates to complete, utilization, and margin impact.
• Translate delivery risks into financial, operational, and audit-relevant language for executive stakeholders.
• Lead executive steering committees, governance forums, stage gates, delivery standards, and governance models.
• Use delivery metrics to build executive-ready dashboards, status narratives, recommendations, and decision-support materials.
• Develop project toolkits, delivery methodologies, resource plans, capacity plans, and portfolio prioritization practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 7 years of project management experience in a professional services firm, or 10+ years of industry project management experience including at least 1 year in professional services.
• Experience leading multi-workstream programs and managing engagement economics, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Experience with resource management, capacity planning, and portfolio prioritization in ambiguous environments with shifting scope.
• Strong understanding of SDLC frameworks and the ability to train and enable teams.
• Comfort working primarily within Central or Eastern time zones and willingness to travel approximately 15% to U.S. client locations.

Nice to have

• PgMP or PMP certification.
• Experience aligning SDLC, change management, access controls, and governance frameworks.
• Working knowledge of ERP platforms and delivery of ERP or large technology programs.
• Familiarity with COBIT, ITIL, and GAAP concepts.
• Experience with PSA or PPM tools such as Smartsheet, Mavenlink, OpenAir, Adaptive, or Planview.
