Salary: $187,000–$270,700 USD annually for the Bay Area California market

What you will do

  • Lead complex FPGA product development programs across architecture, silicon, IP, hardware, software, firmware, validation, and production.
  • Own program strategy, execution frameworks, milestones, technical roadmaps, schedules, and cross-functional alignment from product definition through production release.
  • Coordinate execution across RTL, design verification, physical design, firmware, software, systems engineering, validation, and operations teams.
  • Drive pre-silicon and post-silicon readiness, including design completion, verification, tape-out, silicon bring-up, validation, debug, sampling, and production ramp.
  • Manage technical, schedule, resource, integration, and execution risks while resolving cross-functional issues and trade-offs.
  • Provide executive-level reporting, facilitate leadership reviews, improve program management processes, and mentor other Technical Program Managers.

Requirements

  • Must work in San Jose, California, United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with 12+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, or technical engineering leadership.
  • 8+ years leading complex semiconductor, FPGA, ASIC, silicon, or hardware/software development programs across multiple engineering organizations.
  • Deep silicon and hardware design expertise, including HW/FW/SW interactions and collaboration across architecture, RTL, verification, physical design, firmware, software, systems, and validation.
  • Experience leading the full product lifecycle from product definition and architecture through tape-out, silicon bring-up, validation, debug, sampling, and production.
  • 7+ years leading programs across geographically distributed international teams and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Nice to have

  • Technical experience with transceivers, ARM-based embedded systems, configuration and security, PCIe, Ethernet, or ASIC design and verification.
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related technical field.
  • 10+ years working directly with FPGA, ASIC, semiconductor, or silicon-based product development.
  • Experience with program governance, executive communication, mentoring Technical Program Managers, and Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
