Manager of Data Analysis for Lab Production Support, Extended-Hours Support (ExHS)

Location: US Remote. The role is assigned to one Extended-Hours Support shift team: Weekend, Early-Morning, or Late-Evening. Team members rotate quarterly between two rotations within their selected shift team.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor an Extended-Hours Support data analysis team supporting laboratory production operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate resolution of production escalation tickets and compliance with operating procedures.
• Measure team effectiveness, manage workload and capacity tracking, and monitor ticket service-level agreements.
• Represent the team in stakeholder meetings and translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
• Identify risks, improve support workflows, and develop automation and process enhancements with the broader DSPE organization.
• Provide coaching, feedback, performance assessments, and career development for team members.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, data engineering, analytics production support, or related data production roles.
• At least five years of experience in a highly regulated environment such as CLIA- or FDA-compliant settings, plus at least two years of team management experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, statistical techniques, data preparation, data mining, and Snowflake technologies.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and FDA guidelines, diagnostic laboratory processes, clinical data, and next-generation sequencing workflows.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, version control, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare data and clinical terminology.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their practical use with real-world datasets.
