Medical Technologist (Medical Laboratory)

Location: Spokane, Washington, United States; Portland, Oregon, United States; or Tualatin, Oregon, United States

Salary: $27.77–$37.00 per hour, plus second-shift differential

What you will do

• Determine specimen acceptability and assist with specimen processing.
• Perform routine and complex technical laboratory procedures according to standard operating procedures.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and quality controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance, quality control, and laboratory supply replenishment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology.
• At least one year of clinical laboratory testing experience or an MLS degree.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and multitask.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency.
• Availability for overtime and additional hours when required.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
