Director of International Trade Services

What you will do

• Lead import and export trade operations across North and South America.
• Integrate import and export functions into one operating unit within Supply Chain & Operations.
• Manage a team of 30–45 employees through management-level direct reports.
• Develop annual strategic, operating budget, and CAPEX plans for the function.
• Oversee distribution, cross-dock operations, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other trade partners.
• Drive operational improvement, compliance, cost savings, partner satisfaction, and expansion into new markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; business administration, supply chain, logistics, engineering, or economics preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in global or international trade operations, including import or export responsibility for North American locations.
• At least 5 years leading operational personnel, including hiring, development, performance management, and termination processes.
• At least 3 years of operational facility management and leadership experience.
• At least 3 years managing ocean carriage, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and other third-party operational partners.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• International trade certifications such as IATA, ETCA, or NCBFAA CCS, CES, or MES.
