Director of Strategy and Operations (Transit)

Location: Montgomery, Alabama, United States; on-site role managing daily service operations

Base salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year, plus an RSU package and variable pay where applicable.

What you will do

• Manage the on-site daily operations of hirify.global’s transit service in Montgomery.
• Prioritize real-time operational issues for drivers and dispatchers and create scheduling solutions for a round-the-clock team.
• Manage, mentor, coach, and develop dispatchers, shift managers, and drivers.
• Build relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, local organizations, senior management, and external partners.
• Define team metrics, track KPI performance, prepare reports, and analyze data to improve processes, resource allocation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as an operations manager.
• At least 3–5 years of experience managing teams and developing people.
• Extensive experience leading support teams and operating with a high level of responsibility.
• Strong communication, delegation, prioritization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Successful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment.
