Lead Critical Facilities Technician - Memphis/Southaven

Location: Southaven, Mississippi, or Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Onsite work includes hands-on operation and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure, flexible 24x7 shifts, elevated-height work, outdoor conditions, and travel of up to 10%.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in supercomputing data centers.
• Maintain and optimize HVAC, power, cooling, environmental controls, generators, UPS, switchgear, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, and related infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor technicians while coordinating scheduled system shutdowns and maintaining spare-parts inventory.
• Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs, and develop energy-monitoring metrics.
• Ensure site safety and environmental compliance with local and regional requirements.
• Support commissioning by witnessing equipment startups, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or 6+ years of hands-on facilities or operations experience in lieu of a degree; data center experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles, critical systems documentation, and building and electrical power monitoring systems.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or Building Management Systems, plus strong troubleshooting and technical writing skills.
• Professional English communication skills are required.
• Available for flexible shifts providing 24x7 coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight quarters and at heights up to 100 feet, use hand and power tools, and work in extreme outdoor environments and around fumes, odors, and noise.
