Facilities Lead (HVAC)

Salary: $58,080–$77,440 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage facilities ticket queues, prioritize tasks, and coordinate after-hours on-call scheduling.
• Oversee projects that improve building reliability, functionality, and laboratory operations.
• Triage facilities and laboratory equipment issues, perform minor troubleshooting and repairs, and restore normal laboratory functionality.
• Coordinate building system repairs, preventive maintenance, service visits, and external vendor access.
• Inspect laboratory and building spaces, monitor environmental systems, and resolve or escalate deficiencies.
• Maintain equipment records, facility documentation, physical logs, and procedures in accordance with Good Documentation Practice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial, laboratory, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or commercial facilities maintenance.
• 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience supporting commercial and industrial building systems.
• Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with biological materials, chemicals, specialized equipment, PPE, and applicable safety standards.
• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, stooping, manual equipment handling, and occasionally lifting 25–50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Technical trade school training or an associate degree in HVAC, mechanical systems, building engineering, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
• Maryland HVACR Journeyman License.
• HVACR Technician License.
• Stationary Engineer License.
