Critical Facilities Technician (Data Centers)

Location: Salt Lake City, United States; onsite work in a 24x7 data center facility

Salary: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life-safety, temperature control, building management, access control, CCTV, and other facility systems.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including work on electrical systems and building structures.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, contracted maintenance, change control, quality assurance, and contractor activities.
• Execute work orders and document completed work in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Respond to fires, evacuations, equipment failures, customer concerns, and other emergencies while improving operational and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 3–5 years of experience supporting electrical or mechanical critical facilities, or 7+ years as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
• Ability to work overtime and 12-hour shifts, including day, night, weekend, and holiday schedules.
• Computer proficiency, including MS Office.
• Ability to follow MOP, SOP, ERP, maintenance work instructions, and change-control procedures.
• Ability to evaluate and monitor safe work practices for employees and contractors.
