What you will do

  • Lead a group of compounding facility technicians across a multi-shift operation.
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance on pharmacy laboratory equipment, including tablet presses, blenders, mills, hoods, coaters, compressors, and electrical controls.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, HVAC, and PLC-related equipment issues.
  • Perform calibration, testing, measurements, and documentation to verify equipment performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate repairs with production, respond to breakdowns and emergencies, and minimize downtime and manufacturing disruption.
  • Track assets, parts, work orders, maintenance records, and validation information in CMMS while identifying process and cost improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in maintenance or engineering; 5+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmacy lab equipment maintenance is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of formal leadership experience with direct reports and the ability to train and motivate junior technicians.
  • High school diploma or GED, plus formal training or certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, PLC, or HVAC trades.
  • Knowledge of PLC and CMMS systems, advanced technical equipment troubleshooting, and predictive/preventive maintenance documentation.
  • Effective spoken and written English is required; bilingual Spanish is preferred.
  • Must work on-site in Gilbert, Arizona, work multi-shift schedules, lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and use scissor or bucket lifts.

Nice to have

  • Five or more years of electrical knowledge and electronic principles.
  • Advanced education or training in engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Advanced formal training in lean or Six Sigma.
