Senior Medical Writer, Scientific Intelligence (Oncology)

Location: United States. Travel within the US and internationally may be required based on project, sponsor, and organizational needs, with less than 20% travel expected.

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop publications, including abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts, as well as advisory board materials, scientific platforms, gap analyses, literature summaries, slide sets, and training materials.
• Create grammatically accurate, audience-appropriate, scientifically rigorous content aligned with client strategy.
• Use AI-enabled writing and research tools and contribute scientific and therapeutic expertise to improve the company’s LLM outputs.
• Assess project needs, solve productivity and quality challenges, and support client satisfaction, compliance, and project delivery.
• Participate in client meetings, answer project questions, and collaborate with Scientific & Strategic Services, Client Services, Editorial, and Creative teams.
• Support project strategy, identify opportunities for organic growth and new business, and manage multiple projects against deadlines.

Requirements

• PhD in life sciences, MD, or PharmD.
• At least 2 years of experience in an agency, pharmaceutical industry, or related scientific or medical writing position.
• Strong scientific writing, quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information, collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with AI-enabled writing and research tools and comfort working in fully AI-integrated workflows.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, Google or similar calendar systems, and video-conferencing tools; familiarity with EndNote is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in hematologic or solid tumor oncology.
• At least 1 year of experience as an oncology medical writer.
