Location: New York City, United States

Salary: $73,000–$109,000 per year for candidates based in the United States. OTE of $81,000–$121,000 includes bonus or commission and is not included in the base salary range.

What you will do

• Define and maintain YAML metadata, taxonomy, and contextual guidelines for AI-assisted documentation workflows.
• Review machine-generated prose and code samples for technical accuracy, edge-case behavior, structure, and editorial voice.
• Write and revise API references, integration guides, and conceptual documentation in a docs-as-code environment.
• Become an expert on the platform and explain complex functionality in clear, user-centered language.
• Maintain the documentation GitHub repository and organize content for both developers and systems retrieving context.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Marketing, and Implementation teams to validate platform behavior and customer integration paths.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of documentation experience for technical audiences, including APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms.
• Strong information architecture, knowledge management, editing, and technical communication skills.
• Practical experience with Git, Markdown, YAML, and docs-as-code workflows.
• Active experience using LLMs and AI tools, with sound judgment about where they are effective.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical readers, present work, and collaborate across stakeholders.
