QA/QC Lead

Location: United States; 100% remote, with opportunities for local meet-ups.

Salary: $115,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Establish the QA/QC operating model, including test planning standards, defect workflows, UAT templates, traceability, and release readiness criteria.
• Design, document, and execute functional, regression, usability, data integrity, exploratory, and automated testing.
• Create UAT scripts, acceptance criteria, regression suites, traceability matrices, defect reports, and release documentation.
• Support Computer Systems Validation activities, including validation planning, evidence capture, deviation handling, and audit-ready records.
• Define quality gates and metrics covering test coverage, defect trends, root causes, release readiness, and post-release monitoring.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Technical Project Management, Client Delivery, and external development partners, including approximately 10% client interaction for UAT.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of hands-on QA, software testing, validation, or quality engineering experience.
• Experience testing software products, web applications, data platforms, CRM-like systems, analytics platforms, or configuration-heavy environments.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC practices, defect management, test documentation, manual testing, and automated testing.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements, technical specifications, and user workflows into effective test coverage.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and clear written documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Computer Systems Validation, including IQ/OQ/PQ concepts, traceability, validation evidence, deviations, and audit readiness.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical communications, or another regulated environment.
• Experience building or improving a QA function in a growing product organization.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks, and approved AI tools for QA workflows.
