QA Engineer (AI)

Location: Portugal; hybrid work with occasional office visits in Coimbra or Aveiro. A future office is planned in Porto.

What you will do

• Collaborate with development, product management, and UX teams to define quality requirements.
• Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical designs to create test strategies, plans, and cases.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks and suites for frontend, backend, and API testing.
• Perform manual exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Investigate failures, identify defects and root causes, and drive issues through resolution.
• Improve QA processes, review automation code, support Agile ceremonies, and track defects in Jira.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of QA experience in a software development environment.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and Agile development.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Experience with API testing, Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines, SQL queries, and modern web application testing.
• Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#, plus experience using AI tools for software development or testing.
