Location: Spring House, Pennsylvania, or La Jolla, California, United States. The internship runs full time for approximately three months. Lab-based work requires on-site presence; non-lab-based work follows a hybrid model with three days on site and two remote days per week.
Salary: $23.50–$52.50 per hour, based on program year, discipline, degree, and experience.

What you will do
- Complete a defined translational science and medicine research project focused on immune-mediated diseases.
- Design and execute experiments involving disease biology, therapeutic targets, mechanisms of action, biomarkers, human samples, experimental models, or relevant datasets.
- Collect, record, analyze, interpret, and report research data while troubleshooting scientific challenges.
- Collaborate with scientific and cross-functional teams in a global matrix environment and participate in project meetings.
- Review scientific literature and emerging technologies and shadow key functional roles.
- Prepare and present an abstract or poster at the organization-wide research symposium.
Requirements
- Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future. Students on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT generally do not qualify unless they have an alternative long-term status that does not require sponsorship.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the internship and must not graduate before, during, or after the program.
- Eligible applicants include undergraduates with at least four semesters completed at program start and graduate students pursuing a master’s, PharmD, PA, PhD, or another clinical-related degree.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and current studies in biology, cell or molecular biology, chemistry, pre-med, nursing, public health, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, clinical pharmacology, translational research, computational biology, precision medicine, or a related field.
- Availability to work full time, 40 hours per week, for the complete internship period.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, leadership, collaboration, and project-management skills, plus working knowledge of Slack and Microsoft business applications.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
Nice to have
- Leadership or participation in campus or service programs.
- Experience with laboratory or analytical methods such as ELISA, PCR, DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, cell culture, or cell-based functional assays.
