Co-Op, Immuno-Oncology Research (mRNA)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; 70/30 work model with 70% in-office collaboration. The co-op runs from January 18, 2027 to June 25, 2027, and candidates must be available for the entire program.

Salary: $20.00–$60.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonus, incentive compensation, or equity.

What you will do

• Apply cell and molecular biology techniques with experienced Immuno-Oncology laboratory scientists.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments supporting Immuno-Oncology programs.
• Perform primary cell isolation, mammalian cell culture, ELISA/MSD assays, cell-based functional assays, flow cytometry, and tissue processing.
• Support drug potency studies, therapeutic target characterization, in vitro and in vivo model development, and activity and efficacy readouts.
• Present research findings to program teams and participate in department-wide scientific discussions.
• Maintain laboratory safety, compliance, organized work areas, and electronic lab notebooks.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering, or a related STEM field.
• Technical experience with mammalian tissue culture, cell transfection, protein detection methods such as MSD or ELISA, assay development, and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Experience with flow cytometry is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, drive a project to completion, and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and compliance.
• Only U.S. persons can currently access export-controlled information without an export license; other candidates may be considered subject to obtaining the required license.

Nice to have

• Previous co-op experience.
• GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent academic achievement.
• Interest in rigorous, lab-based Immuno-Oncology research.
