Manufacturing Systems Engineer I (IIoT/MES)

Location: Middletown, Pennsylvania, United States; regular travel, including travel to foreign countries, is required.

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, and support digital manufacturing systems connecting production equipment and enterprise platforms.
• Support IIoT, MES, SCADA, and plant-level data collection system implementation and sustainment.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot connectivity and production-related issues, and report trends.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to improve operational visibility and performance measurement.
• Maintain configurations, standard operating procedures, data structures, and work instructions.
• Participate in testing, validation, deployment, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of related experience; internship, co-op, project, or academic experience is relevant.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production operations, and continuous improvement principles.
• Exposure to manufacturing systems, industrial automation, MES, SCADA, IIoT, industrial communication technologies, or manufacturing data environments.
• Familiarity with data analysis, reporting tools, basic database concepts, SQL, and preferably Python or another programming/scripting language.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine issues, communicate effectively, collaborate cross-functionally, and lift up to 50 pounds.
