MES Engineer (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

Location: 181 Random Dr, New London, North Carolina, United States. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

Base salary: $80,000–$115,000 USD per year, plus participation in an annual bonus plan or role-based sales incentive plan.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day MES issues and coordinate technical resolution with engineering, management, supervisors, and operators.
• Design and develop MES front-end applications using Ignition and implement software and hardware solutions across manufacturing operations.
• Translate business and operational requirements into functional specifications for MES solutions.
• Support production execution, routing, work instructions, data collection, quality, and traceability functionality.
• Coordinate system testing, site deployment, change management, training, adoption, and post-deployment enhancements.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and manufacturing performance improvement.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Technical understanding of computer programming and application development.
• Experience with software application implementation in production environments and daily software support.
• Strong project management, communication, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Python, Microsoft SQL databases, HTML, Java, and Expression languages.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, tag structures, and data collection.
• Knowledge of SCADA and MES software, including Ignition.
• Knowledge of ERP functionality, bills of materials, product configuration, production scheduling, or Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP.
