2027 Welding Engineer Intern

Location: Channelview, Texas; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available, but visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $26.00–$43.00 per hour, depending on the pursued degree and completed academic hours.

What you will do

• Support welding production and development activities through meaningful engineering projects.
• Perform welding tests and analyze test data.
• Conduct materials research and analysis.
• Provide manufacturing support related to performance, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability.
• Work with GTAW, GMAW, SAW, and FCAW processes on structural and pipe welding applications.
• Contribute to robotic welding, cobot deployment, process improvement, and welder training initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be available to work onsite in Channelview, Texas five days per week.
• Currently pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering Technology, or a relevant field.
• Classified as a sophomore, junior, senior planning to attend graduate school, or current graduate student.
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, technical judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
