Senior UX Designer

Location: Onsite at the Bentonville Home Office, 1601 SE 10th St, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

Walmart's Global Design organization supports Field Associate Tools for facilities management, store remodels, new store builds, and technician enablement across the company's physical portfolio.

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end experience strategy for a major Global Realty operations pillar, from research through final execution.
• Lead field interviews, site visits, workflow analysis, and usability testing to identify actionable insights.
• Develop user journeys, interaction models, and prototypes for desktop web and native mobile tools.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and senior leadership stakeholders to align UX solutions with operational goals.
• Design scalable, accessible interfaces aligned with native mobile conventions and Walmart's Living Design standards.
• Maintain design documentation and mentor designers across the team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant UI/UX, interactive and visual design, multimedia design, computer science, or related experience with a relevant bachelor's degree, or 5 years of relevant experience without the degree requirement.
• Strong proficiency in desktop web and native mobile design for associate- or employee-facing products.
• Expertise in user research methods including interviews, surveys, journey mapping, site visits, and workflow analysis.
• Experience synthesizing ambiguous research into clear design decisions and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring designers, managing multiple workstreams, and maintaining a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership.

Nice to have

• Design certification, a master's degree, or experience driving product development in UX.
• Industry experience in retail, supply chain, ecommerce, healthcare, or related fields.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
