Principal Electric Program Manager

Location: Hybrid work from a remote office and an assigned work location across California, United States, based on business need.

Salary range: $137,000–$232,000 annually for California locations; Bay Area range: $144,000–$244,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage complex transmission line capital and maintenance programs, including governance, communications, training, reporting, and process management.
• Develop program strategies, annual and long-term work plans, forecasts, budgets, performance metrics, dashboards, and business cases.
• Monitor spending, productivity, unit costs, project completion, work scheduling, and resource availability.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and cost control.
• Represent PG&E on complex issues, coordinate with government relations and external stakeholders, and present recommendations to senior management.
• Lead industry benchmarking and implement best practices in electric program management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of job-related experience.
• Advanced program management knowledge and the ability to work autonomously on complex problems.
• Experience developing budgets, forecasts, performance reporting, and variance explanations.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from an assigned California work location as required by business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience in electric maintenance and construction.
• PMP certification.
• Financial experience.
• Experience with multi-year planning activities.
