TL;DR
Senior Manager, Energy Efficiency and Electrification Programs (Energy Efficiency/Electrification): Leading and scaling utility energy efficiency and electrification portfolios across Washington and the Pacific Northwest with an accent on program delivery, portfolio design, financial performance, and client relationships. Focus on launching complex programs, managing multidisciplinary teams and budgets, evaluating results, and coordinating utility, regulatory, technical, and stakeholder requirements.

Location: Remote Greater Seattle Area, Washington; must reside in or be willing to relocate to Washington. Presence at the local hirify.global office or local client sites is required 2–3 days per week.

Salary: $119,323.00–$202,850.00 per year

What you will do

  • Lead delivery and performance management for utility energy efficiency and electrification programs.
  • Build, launch, adapt, and scale portfolios and program models for utility clients across Washington and the Pacific Northwest.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, financial metrics, KPIs, quality control, evaluation, data collection, and client reporting.
  • Build relationships with utilities, trade allies, professional organizations, program participants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor direct, indirect, external, and multidisciplinary teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Support business development, technical tools and offerings, stakeholder presentations, regulatory activities, and changing portfolio priorities.

Requirements

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Washington.
  • Bachelor’s degree in energy, business, environmental sciences, engineering, economics, policy, or a related field, or equivalent related experience.
  • At least 8 years of professional energy-sector experience, including energy efficiency, electrification, distributed energy resource, or demand reduction programs.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing project teams during growth, new launches, or portfolio transitions.
  • Strong communication, analytical, leadership, strategic planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools such as Power BI.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing downstream, midstream, or upstream utility electrification, energy efficiency, or demand-side management programs.
  • Experience with Washington utilities and established relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Experience leading large programs, multi-client portfolios, multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, or strategic partners.
  • Business development, client development, quality control, budget accountability, regulatory planning, engineering, or program design experience.
  • Industry certifications, professional affiliations, or publications.
