Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Mentor, Ohio, USA. Onsite role with day and night shifts: 6 AM–6 PM or 6 PM–6 AM.

Salary: $31.47–$41.41 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential.

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing machinery, motors, conveyor systems, switchboards, relays, and power distribution circuits.
• Use schematics, technical diagrams, precision tools, and testing instruments to identify root causes of electrical and mechanical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and support plant uptime.
• Install conduit and wiring, replace components, and test equipment for safety, OSHA compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams, report shift metrics, maintain maintenance logs, and improve quality and safety workflows.

Requirements

• Trade school certification, an associate degree in industrial maintenance, or equivalent journeyman-level experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot 3-phase and PLC systems.
• Ability to safely use electrical testing instruments.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivation, adaptability, and willingness to work overtime and support team goals.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred: 3+ years of multi-craft electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance experience, including process equipment, roll maintenance, or automated production systems.
